Lloyd Morrisett, co-creator of the children’s show “Sesame Street”, died at 93 on Monday, January 23. A new study shows promising long-term survival trends overall for 23 solid cancers in the Nordic countries of Sweden, Denmark, Finland and Norway. The 5-year survival rate reached between 50% and 100% in 17 cancers, and it exceeded 90% for five. Although 5-year survival remained below 50% for six cancers, survival still improved markedly over the 50-year study period.
