    Nominations are now open for the 2023 Alberta Community Justice Awards.

    The Government of Alberta recognizes outstanding community leadership and efforts that proactively prevent crime and protect communities through the awards.

    “Truly effective crime prevention happens at all levels – from law enforcement to your neighbors in your community,” said Justice Minister and Solicitor General Tyler Shandro.

    “Through these awards, the Government of Alberta honors and thanks community members who work tirelessly to keep their fellow Albertans safe.

    Nominees may be youth justice committees, restorative justice programs, victim service groups, police officers, or individuals who have made outstanding contributions to community justice.

    Albertans can submit nominations in four categories:

    • Emerging Excellence
    • Innovation
    • Service improvement
    • Partnerships and collaboration

    Albertans wishing to nominate an individual or organization must submit a nomination by noon on February 10.
