Peak NDT Ltd has been honored with two prestigious Queen’s Awards for Enterprise. The 2022 awards were officially presented by Mrs Elizabeth Fothergill, CBE, HM Lord-Lieutenant of Derbyshire, at a celebratory event held at the River Mill at Darley Abbey on Friday 20 January 2023. Mrs Fothergill was accompanied by Mr. Peter Ellse, DL.

    The event was attended by around 40 guests made up of Peak NDT employees, alongside a number of the company’s suppliers and customers, including Derbyshire’s Rolls Royce and Transform NDT. Also present were Derby Mayor, Councilor Robin Wood and Councilor David Wilson, chairman of Derbyshire County Council.

    Peak NDT has been chosen to receive a Queen’s Award in the Innovation and International Business categories and the company, based at Jubilee Business Park, is one of seven companies across the UK to have achieved dual status.

    Founded in 1995, the company is a designer and manufacturer of high performance multi-channel conventional and phased array ultrasonic instruments used for non-destructive testing (NDT) in a wide range of advanced engineering sectors, including power generation nuclear, aerospace, petroleum. & Gas and renewable energies.

    For many years, Peak NDT’s MicroPulse technology has been at the forefront of ultrasonic NDT development and used by leading research organizations. The company was recognized in the Innovation category for developing a flexible, compact, lightweight and enclosed version of its range of high-end instrument systems that incorporates new solutions to achieve high performance and low power operation of energy.

    The company was recognized in the International Trade category for exceptional short-term overseas sales growth over the past three years. Its main markets are the United States, Canada, China, Germany, Hong Kong and Switzerland, and annual overseas sales have doubled over the past three years, rising from 58% to 71% of sales. total business. New customers have been established in most parts of the world, with recent sales channels being developed in India, Japan and Singapore, and new developments mean that sales are expected to increase significantly per year, mainly in India. ‘foreigner.
