The Princess Alexandra Hospital Trust (PAHT) Information Technology (IT) team has been shortlisted for two titles at the 2023 Health Tech Newspaper (HTN) Now Awards.
The team was a finalist in the Excellence in Innovation and Change category and in the Digital Clinical Safety and Process Improvement category, for which it was also highly commended.
The HTN is an online platform for the health technology community and the awards aim to recognize and celebrate innovations.
Jeff Wood, Deputy Director of Information and Communications Technology at PAHT, said, “We are extremely pleased to see our efforts and teamwork widely recognized.
“Over the past few months, we have introduced various automated testing processes into our clinical systems which are used to support patient flow in the hospital.
“We have also implemented a combination of automated robotic processes and electronic service referral forms to improve our patient and employee experiences.
“I am so proud of the team and look forward to working collaboratively with colleagues at PAHT on future initiatives.”
Phil Holland, Chief Information Officer, said, “Our IT team plays a vital role in the day-to-day running of our hospital and works so hard behind the scenes to deliver an efficient and effective IT service.
